|  | | Bahar Dar - Day 1 | | | | | Got to Bahar Dar, a town in the Northern part of Ethiopia on the edge of Lake Tana. The views are nice and there are flocks of pelican all around and Hornbills in the trees making lots of noise. Its quite a busy place at the moment as we forgot to mention Ethiopia follow a different calendar to us and are 7 years behind and the millenium eve is tomorrow! That means we get to partyy like its 1999 all over again. Walked around some of the lake with lots of people standing around watching lots of boats doing something - not quite sure what!. It was our turn to cook tonight - so we made a stir fry which went down a treat! Were gonna put the tenst up but we managed to swing rooms as the owner fancies our tour leader (stupid man!!!)
