Today turned out to be a pretty laid back day. The fog and clouds were so thick this morning you couldn’t even see across the street through the windows. We learned that breakfast was served in the main building of the resort from 8 – 10am and the front desk was only open from 10 – 5. So we made our way down to the dining room just about 9, had a very nice continental breakfast from the buffet before we had to go complete our registration and check in at the front desk.
After breakfast we walked across the street and did a little shopping at the local market and then took Mom back to the room to lay down since she was feeling a little nauseous after eating. While she was napping, Dad and I drove down the hill to check out the Tourist Information office to inquire about some things to do in the local area and see if I could locate some internet access.
The lady at the Tourist office was very helpful, even though her English was very limited. They did offer wireless internet, but a security pass code was required and she was having trouble getting my laptop to get access to their network. So I finally asked if they had a spare slot on the router I might just plugged directly into. They did and that seemed to solve my problem and I was able to get some mail and a few other things taken care of while standing at the front counter.
It began to rain and was starting to come down pretty good by the time I was done and we drove back up the hill to see if Mom was awake yet. She had placed her blindfold on from the airlines and was still napping when we got there, but came downstairs when she heard that Tiger Woods was on T.V. playing in the FedEx tournament. Being so wet and gloomy outside, it just turned into one of those cozy afternoons, spent indoors watching movies, without any desire to go out. We did try to plan some things to do later in the week by reading through all the brochures we had picked up this morning at breakfast.
