We flew this time out of RDU and had nice flights. From the airport in San Juan we took a taxi to our hotel Condado Plaza. The hotel was undergoing renevation (story of my life). The renevated parts, including our room, were nice and modern. After checking in we walked across the bridge to the other side of the beach. On the bridge we met a crazy American kid who was jumping and diving off the bridge into the lagoon. He provided us with some good travel tips. The water was very clear. You could see the bottom easily. The scenery was beautiful, however there was a lot of litter. I thought that was a shame. There was building going on everywhere, so if you are a construction worker, and you need a job, this is the place for you. We walked to the Hilton Caribe and looked around there. It is awesome. If I were to go back to that area that is where I would want to stay. They had great beaches and pools. There were a bunch of hammocks perfect for a sunset swing. We walked back before dark through all of the joggers to the hotel. We ate dinner in a restaurant at the hotel called Gusto di Italia. They have decent Italian and breakfast. - Elizabeth
