On the second day of our trip we decided to do a tour arranged by our hotel. Our guide was very knowledgable. He managed to drive us safely through the crazy streets of Puerto Rico and talk at the same time. Our first stop was the Bacardi rum factory. They start you off with 2 free drinks while you wait for your shuttle. They were tasty. The tour is actually entertaining. The weather would go from raining to beautiful and sunny in 10 seconds. Our next stop was El Morro. Amazing when you think about how long ago it was built. This fort is great to take pictures of the city from, even if you aren't interested in the history. Old San Juan is really beautiful. The buildings are colorful and the streets are cobble stone. This is the place for shopping. They have everything from cheap souveniers to Coach. We had lunch at a Mexican restaurant that had pretty good nachos. We ended up in the Plaza de Colon where we were picked up by our guide and driven back to the hotel. He would complete a wild driving maneuver by shouting "Welcome to Puerto Rico!" We had good steaks that night at Morton's Steakhouse near the Hilton Caribe. - Elizabeth
