Hello my wonderful friends and family. I made it home safely a little over a week ago from London and have been thoroughly enjoying sleeping in a bed and not a tent. For the last two weeks a couple friends (Jeremy and Will) have been volunteering in England at the huge youth conference called Soul Survivor. It was a great time. We worked as “stewards” for a week then assisted the sports ministry. Every year over 20,000 youth travel to this conference to worship and learn about God. They bring in some big-name speakers like Brother Andrew and have big-time worship leaders like Tim Hughes and Matt Redman. All in all, it was a fun event and it was good training on how to be a servant—I hope to go back next year for the third time. Anyone game?
In my last update I described my outreach and all the team drama. It was definitely one of the most difficult situations I have ever faced but through it all I learned a lot about leadership, communication, and myself. Now, I’m happy to say, three months later, God performed some miraculous healing in my life and I have been able to refocus on what else God is doing around me, my “next steps”. In November I will be returning New Zealand and teaching on the topics of communication, dating, and relationships. Most likely thereafter I will be DTS one final time.
For the next two months I will be living with my mom and step dad in Elkhart and working to save up for November. Another letter will follow soon as I will have to raise support yet once again. If you’d like to catch up and have coffee tea, or second breakfast, just let me know. You can email through this website or call me at: 574 286 8522. Blessings.
Eric
P.S. I posted some new pictures of my after travels too.
