We have spent the last three weeks picking strawberries on trollies that look the cross between something you would see a thai person selling stuff on and the car out of the Flintstones. It's pretty good though we just sit down all day and pull ourselves along by our feet picking as we go.We are only getting four days aweek at the mo and get the weekend and wednesdays off so the time is flying by.We've got six weeks left then we are heading towards the Great barrier reef to dive and we can't wait.
We've met some nice couples so spend the weekends having beers barby's and roast dinners, taking it in turns to cook. So lifes pretty good at the moment to say we are working picking bloody strawberries.
We decided to move to another farm abit further away so we can work more days so Jan is packing strawberries not picking them at the moment and she says it's really boring, but we've met alot more people and the works still pretty easy.
After a long 10 weeks picking bloody strawberries our sentence has been served and we can now go off travelling up the coast WOOO OOOOH!It feels like it's been along time coming but it's been worth it because we've managed to save up money now to go do loads of new stuff, mainly dive the Great Barrier Reef and god we can't wait. We met an Aussie pommy couple Charles and Flick and we are going to travel up together so it going to be alot of fun.
