Putting the disappointment of the Jerez trip behind us we once again headed out to the beach yesterday - this time to Maracalanas (or something like that anyway ... I really must start taking more notice of things in the future otherwise my whole blog will be full of me not knowing where I am or where I've been !)
After the coach got pulled over by the guardia civil on the way there for doing 20 kilometres over the speed limit (oooops !) we arrived at a beach - yay ! I was straight in the water for a swim and I managed to get my tan a bit topped up. All this city living isn't good for tan maintenance !
We sat on the beach, me, Ben (French), Dermot, Elaine (French Canadian), Karin (German Swiss), Annali (German), Melanie (German Swiss) and 2 Japanese girls from the school aswell - a good opportunity one would think to practice our Spanish - nope. English it is all the way, with a smattering of French and German !
