About half way between Kastoria and Florina and a little off the beaten track is a region called Prespa Lakes. These lakes form the triangular border between Greece, Albania and Macedonia. They are very large and there is even a small beach. This place is so isolated, there is hardly anyone around, even the small town of Prespa looks deserted. Surprisingly there is a hotel, with no guests of course. Due to the isolation of this region, it has remained in its natural untouched state.
