Early start today, got up about 6.45am had a quick breakfast and was on the road by 7.15 to The Valley of the Kings where there are loads of tombs of lots of Pharoahs all in one huge canyon. The first tomb was huge and went at least 200 feet underground and was so hot everyone looked like they had a bath when we got out. In total we saw 3 tombs which were all built during the reign of a king ready for when he died and went to the afterlife. The bigger the tomb the longer the king was in power for - one poor sod died early so his was unfinished so they plonked him in it anyway! We saw the entrance to Tutankhamun's tomb but didn't go in as you have to pay extra and all his stuff is in the museum anyway.
Went to a place where they make a kinds of things out of rock. Tried to buy some mummification urns which were 880 Egyptian pounds. I offered 150 then the bloke laughed at me and probably told me to do something rude to myself in Arabic. We later scored some cheaper ones for 150 by haggling from 450.
Went on to our last Temple before moving on to the Valley of the Queens - it was ok, it had some nice colourful tombs but the best had been shut and was only available by booking for a group of 10 for 10mins (20,000 egyptian pounds or 2000 english quids) "R.I.P off!"
Left here went back to hotel and chilled by the pool.
