Hey all
Today was brilliant!!!
After we woke up we had a look around Greymouth, we went into a museum where they showed how they made Jade pieces. After that we drove to Franz Josef where it is well-known for the ice glaciers there.
Once we arrived we found out that to access the glacier we had to walk, but walking to the glacier would take five hours!!...So we decided to take a helicopter!!!!! We asked for a 20 minutes ride, but the man put us onto a 30 minutes one which had extra views, so we got the extra 10 mintues for free! (It should have cost another $200 for both of us).
The ride was just wow wow wow wow wow!!!! It was absolutely stunning and we were taken into a white world near the tallest mountain in New Zealand, Mountain Cook. We saw both Fox Glacier and the Franz Josef glaciers before landing on the snow at the top. The view was incredible and so beautiful. After walking around a bit in the snow and taking lots of pictures, we flew back down and had lunch.
Afterwards we drove to Fox Glacier and stayed for the night in a campsite
