I can't believe it's already 15 August! I've been away from home for four and a half months, and I definitely miss everyone at home. It actually took me a while to really miss everyone, at least three months...is that bad, I don't know? Anway, I'm in Kampala, Uganda right now, and we're preparing to take our bus ride back over to Nairobi. The ride wasn't actually that bad on the way over, we pretty much slept the whole over...we were all exhausted. And it was pretty chaotic at the bus station. So we were relieved to just be in the bus and have it rolling down the road, whether or not the seats were comfortable.
Yeah, so about Uganda, it's beautiful here, seriously gorgeous. I was not expecting this, and the islands were gorgeous as well. we had a great time at the orphanage, Osanidde, on the island off of Lake Victoria. The kids were so loving, they were always holding our hands. This one little girl stuck with me the whole week, her name was Shakira...she had the most beautiful smile...I just loved seeing her smile. Also, we led a women's conference, that turned out to be extra long, but definitely worth it all. We enjoyed every thing about our island visit, the kids were definitely hard to say goodbye to.
All right, so we're heading back to Nairobi, and then it's onto Spain from there! Ciao!
