The next day went to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi. A big disappointment came when we discovered that tent camping was not allowed in the park as far as we could find out. Places called camps required you to stay in their accomodation. So we commuted from Saint Lucia, which meant we had to leave early to try and avoid driving in the dark.
The wildlife did not seem as abundant as it had been in Kruger but we did see rhino, giraffe, warthogs but did not see any elephants. Had been told by some people there were some lions just down from Hilltop camp but we couldn't find them. The Hilltop Camp is beautiful especially the views. Last thing we saw that made the drive worth it for sure was hyenas coming out in to the road at sunset!
Back to Bibs. Fixed dinner and visited with Paul who had ridden his motorcycle from England (!)and Pierre from France who had a group camped near us. We were checking our Internet when William came in to tell us there was a hippo eating grass across the street right in town. All went out to look and we are fairly certain in our mind the same hippo grazed throuigh the camping area on his way back to the bush.
Tomorrow we will head into J'Berg to turn in the rental car.
