| | | Brenda, wonderful lady from Katima Mulilo | | | | | Got on the Intercape Mainliner and found our seats. The bus is very nice. Four seats, two facing front, two facing back with table in between. The windows are very large and the seats recline! Robert began a conversation with the lady next to him. She introduced herself, Brenda. She is from Katima Mulilo and works for the United Nations Development Programme. We had a very nice conversation with her. We told her of taking students to the United Nations and that we had attended the Earth Summit in Brazil. She actually knows Johann that we had met last time we were here. Robert told her the story of our misadventure trying to get to Kasane last time and she said "Let me call my sister and see if there is a minibus going to Kasane." Her sister went over to the bus area and found a minibus with two seats left. She and Brenda were in cell phone contact and the Intercape Mainliner pulled over right outside Katima. Brenda had her sister direct the minibus to where our bus was getting some fuses changed out. Brenda got off the bus and waited with us until the minibus arrived and then hopped in a taxi with her sister to go get her luggage she had left on the bus! What a wonderful lady!
