Hobart – Bruny Island

2007-07-28, Hobart, Australia

During our first morning in Hobart we went to the Battery Point area of town to see Kelly’s Steps (for Kelly) and the Salamanca Market. The market was good and we picked up a few souvenir items but it was overcast and drizzling so we left to go to the Shot Tower, where they used to make bullets. From the top of the tower, we got a great view of Hobart.

In the afternoon, we took the ferry to Bruny Island but unfortunately due to the bad weather we didn’t get to see much of the island. We caught an early ferry back and went to the Tasmania Museum and Art Gallery in Hobart.
