Meeting Mickey and Friends
After Denver we headed off for a bit of relaxing fun in the sun, in Florida.
We arrived roughly two weeks ago from Denver to a very humid and sticky Orlando, and very bad service from Budget Car Rentals Orlando (Which has continued during our stay).
On our first full day we took it easy and enjoyed an all you can eat breakfast followed by a trip to Gatorland. Here we viewed, and fed, some very large Florida Gators. This included watching the jumperoo show where the Aligators propell themselves out of the water with their powerful tails grabing food hanging high above the water (well a good 5 feet).
The following day we drove up International Drive to Sea world. Here we saw many different types of marine life including several Shamus (Killer Whales) and a lot of Dolphins. The shows here were very good, if a little sickly sweet at times, with the Dolphins and Whales performing some impressive stunts.
On our third day and the rest of our time in Florida we hit Disney, visitng its many theme and water parks. Here we rode some great rides like the Rockin Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, meet Mickey Mouse and watched some two excellent firework displays at Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
So, after our supposedly relaxing time we are more tired than ever after spending twelve hours a day at theme parks.
Nevertheless, it was good fun and we are looking forward to hitting the road for the sadly the last time on our trip (only 4 weeks left now) heading up the east coast of America.
