Not making the same mistake twice, we made sure we disembarked in Mykonos! Our hotel was about 800m from the main town all uphill. Luckily port to hotel transfers were included.
Hotel Hermes has spectacular views and a nice pool. We spent our days lazing around the pool, getting some much needed R&R. At night we ventured down to the town for some dinner & like the former islands, cobblestone streets lined with shops & cafes. This town is a maze, built in this way to confuse the pirates of the past...and the tourists of the present. One little part that stood out (& is on so many postcards) is the five windmills & 'little venice'. Little venice has numerous bars & taverna's, where we ate dinner & drinks right on the waters edge.
