We travel in the dark of the new moon

A starry highway traced on the map of the sky

Like lovers and heroes, lonely as the eagle's cry

We're only at home when we're on the fly

Nocturnal adventures guided by a Shuar Shaman.

For one evening, I entered a state of suspended, altered consciousness, aided by the company of Amazonian plantlife.

It was an 8-hour experience, accompanied by Shuar chants, the waving of herbal remedies to "clean" the air, and conversations with the depths of my being.
At the crack of dawn, I tumbled into the bed provided for me, slept two hours, woke up and went to work on the construction of a tree nursery.
