Hello faithful readers or people scanning through!
So, we're not really in Israel now, we are in Egypt. I just put the name there so it will look nice on the map you can click on haha.
Still, this section is going to be about our time in Jerusalem. Certain words we cannot write here because of our safety...
So after our time in Venezuela and Morocco (you can see the pictures I've just put on there), we flew with our team to Israel to meet the rest of the students in Jerusalem. There we travelled around to see different interesting places: Wailing wall, Dome of the rock, places they think Jesus was crucified burried and resurrected, En Gedi (where David hid from Saul), sea of galilea, Kapernaum and some floating in the dead sea.
This time was nice to meat up with everyone again and at the same time already saying goodbye. We had time to reflect on the last 6 months and we realised what a great decision it was to come to this dts. We learned so many things!
The place was pretty safe. There are a lot of people walking around with guns to protect us and everywhere you go in you go through a metal detector or your bag is being searched.
28th of june was our graduation day. We made it!! We were being comissioned from the mount of Olives, the place where they believed Jesus wept for the people of Israel. It was a nice day but also a bit sad knowing that this would be the last day before everyone went on with their lives outside of 'Y'. At night we were offered a nice meal, the last meal...
The next day we went to Tel Aviv! It appeared that a lot of students also went there and the whole staffteam! We had an awesome time there!
We stayed in a hostel and met a lot of travellers from all over the world. We had some good conversations about life and God. It is sad to see how so many people just live to drink. We had a guy in our room who was getting himself ready to go out at night. He drank so much that he didn't get even out of the door. He sat on a bed and stayed like that the whole night... seems funny but in a way it's sad... there's so much more in life.
We didn't reall leave Tel Aviv for a week. We stayed and relaxed praying and worshipping at the beach.
Dan and I continued to Eilat (very touristy) for three days and then... you can read further in the part I'm going to write about Jordan.
