2007-07-12, Kyoto, Japan

Well after 5 wonderful weeks today we are to make our journey home ward bound!

This mornings tour of Western Kyoto has taught Zach a new word! Raining!

We've seen palaces, temples, shrines and the most beautiful gardens.

And then there is the Japanese toilets! These have totally taken the lead in our toilet stories! Hot wash and blow dry anyone?

We've paid $75NZD for room service breakfast (Mark got his conversions wrong!) however, we are coming home with more money in the bank than when we left NZ. (Thanks Universal for keeping the pay coming!) And our credit card is in credit (sad but true I squeak when I walk)

We are now at Kansai International Airport after the 90 minute bus ride from Kyoto. This city/country is unbelievable and I'm glad Japan was our stopover. Ben you'll love it when you get here!

So .. .. .. will quickly make a few changes to previous uploads and then Dad we'll see you tomorrow morning at the airport! xxx

Will upload photos from home - have some goodies xxx

Thanks to everyone (especially Liz for your humour) for the guestbook messages and emails. Really good to read when the homesickness kicked in (only Merrin & I)

Catherine

xxx
