welllllllllllllllllllllllll
From last time I wrote there has been plenty going on... We have been to Kanchanaburi to see the bridge on the river kwai and and Jeath Museam which was just incredible.. in a insainly moving way.. I suggest you read up on this if you don't know what they are... WE rode tail bots to and from and they are sososoos fast and albeit scared for my life, the breeze from such speed brought great delight to all of us hahaha... I also encountered my first elephant out of the Zoo which was quite crazy, some of the gang fed her some suger cane which she seemed to absolutely love.. there was a little boy and girl looking after the elephant, the boy was soooo tiny and he was using this giant knife to cut of the suger cane.. We also went to the Chungkai war cemtary which was extremely moving there lay thousands of gravesites of those who lost their life in the war, the ones that brought most tears to my eyes were the graves of thsoe without names... the men who lost the lives but were so unrecognisable that no one will ever know.... After that it was bacl to the guesthouse for a quick kip and then onto dinner. After dinner majority of us went on to a local pub and had a few beers.. The main beer around here is called SINGHA and it is very VERY nice!

Monday the 9th we went to Hellfire Pass which I think I am still speechless from. The way the Japanese trreating those POW's was just in humaine. We all took a stroll down hellfire pass and I have some snaps which I will hopefully be able to upload at Auntie Susans when we get back. " One Life for every sleeper" Its crazy to think nearly 100,000 people lost their lives...... In the afternoon we went to Erawan national park to the waterfalls which was a welcome treat. We swam in them and got nipped by the millions of fish swimming around... The water was pristine and just sosososo BLUE! The waterfall has 7 tears but we only managed to get up to the 4th as it started bucketing down with rain. That night it was time to let down our hair and we hired out a party boat and took it down the rover. WE had thai food on board and they played all western music.. we danced up and storm and had a great laugh. Aftet the boat a few of us headed on to another pub and played some pool and talked it up with some locals....

Tuesday the 10th wokre up and had a 5 hour bus ride and then cycled round Ayuthya and looked at temples, it was sooo scray being on the roads and there pretty much is NO rules.. and we were ont he main road so i'm suprised to say we all did survive. yesterday was poissibly the hottest day we have had here and I think I nearly passed out 3 times ... CLOSE CALLS I TELL YAH!
After that we went back to the hotel, pcked our packs up and headed out to dinner. After dinner we went to the sleeper train.... Well what an experience THAT WAS.....

I'm still sick so I was coughing my lungs up all night and slept about 2 hours the whole night...

And today Wednesday the 11th , we got off the sleeper train in Chiang Mai, straight to our guesthouse for the next day just had some lunch and now I am here....

In an hour we are going up to a temple and hopefully waiting till 6pm where the Monks have a prayer session... which will be interesting..

Tomorrow we leave to go to the hill tribes, we leave at 8.30am and then take a song tao (little open seating cart, a tuk tuk but 4 times as big) to the hills and then we have a LOVELY 3-4 hour trek up to the tribe we will be spending the ngiht with...

So... I shall report back on that after we get back... OH and we get to do our elepahtn riding the next day.. woohooo!!!

Hope all is welll.. XOXOXOXOXOOXOX
