We arrived in Surfers paradise with the intention of staying maybe only 1 day or so because we were heading further up north to bunderburg to look for fruit picking work. This didn't happen though because we loved it right from the start and ended up staying nearly a week and only left then because money was starting to get abit low.It wasn't even because we were out evry night bucause we couldn't afford it, i think the main reason was because it was the first place that we got to that had loads of sun and we couldn't get enough, plus we metloads of nice travellers in the caravan park so just sat round drinking and chatting with them.

With my new found love for fishing for our tea,i was in heaven there because the fishing was really good off the beach, and really near our tent site which was handy.I even got Jan to come with me 1 day and she caught 4 fish and loved it so she's hooked too!

We also spent a day in Dream world which is a local adventure pack where we had a wicked day.I even managed (with alot of begging) to get Jan on 2 of the fast scarey rides which she didn't want to go on but loved em after wards (but once was enough.)

Australia zoo
Wow we finally made it to see Steve the croc hunter irwins Australia zoo and absolutely loved it and we had a fantasic day.Where do i start, well we got there as soon as it opened so as not to miss anything. We spent all day walking round and although it wasn,t quite as big as we had expected it was set out really well and is without a doubt the best zoo we had ever been to,all the animals were in there own natural enviroments and not just stuck in cages for show.Everywhere we went there was someone talking about different animals, with opportunities to touch and hold the animals.Jan finally got to hold and have her picture taken with a Koala, and myself with a big python(yeh Jan stayed away from that pic)so that was something else ticked off our list.We went to feed the kangeroos again and also went to the kids farm which was really funny because me and Jan was fighting he kids to feed the pigs and the goats haha.If we get chance i think we would probaby go back again. What a day!
