After a grueling customs ordeal upon arrival in Tel Aviv, we made our way downtown. We felt like we were out of our element, as we were greeted by endless bag searches, checkpoints, and M-16 wielding teenagers in every direction. It did not take long, however to draw countless parallels between Tel Aviv and New York City. The beaches were nice, bars too expensive, and people in a hurry. We did a little demolition work in the city, and used Tel Aviv as our base as we traveled north and east throughout Israel. Made some good friends, talked quite a bit about politics, and even more about cultures.
