We left Sydney quite late so after afew hours of driving in the rain we arrived near Newcastle but for the first time there didn't seem to be any campsites around, so after asking at the nearest garage we ended up 15 km out of of way.It just so happened that we ended up at a camp site near where a massive tanker had been grounded at the local beach in the recent relly bad storms which our friends had told us about and we'd wanted to see.It was really weird to see this bloody massive ship just afew meters out from the beach.

The next night we ended up in Myall lakes national park at a site called Mango bush. The site was really flooded but we got to see our first wild dingos, but Jan got eaten alive by bloody mossies for the first time in ages. This area also had a really cool area with lots of sand dunes for me to play in which was good.

After afew different places we ended up Crowdy bay national park at diamond head camp ground and was instantely surrounded by kangeroos. We stayed here for a few days went for walks down the beach were we saw about 15 Dolphins surfing the waves. We were constantly surrounded by Kangeroos who everytime we had something to eat kept trying to pinch it! I went fishing with grounds keeper at 6am one morning and after a slippery trek in the dark ended up in his fishing spot on the rocks where I caught my first two Tailor (fish) which we cooked on the fire that night and tasted bloody fantastic.

Our next stop was at smokey cape at hat head national park, now we really loved this spot and stayed for 4 days in the end.We met some lovely old guys that helped me with some fishing tips and invited us to join them round there fire. The next day after their tips i caught 4 fish out on the beach which we had for our tea so was then hooked.

The next destination was byron bay but we stopped on the way and i caught our tea(fish again)We really liked it here but just had a look round the area for 2 days ,went to afew pubs and then left but if we'd of had more money we would of stayed afew more days.
