been in firenze (florence( the last two days...rain has held out, although the first day we quickly zoomed around all the main sqaures as it was supposed to rain yesterday. have had a lot of good food, the cathedral here is absolutely ginormous...and we are going to church today...id like to go to church there anyways, but also we can see the inside for free...is that wrong??

yesterday went to the Accademia gallery where the main attraction is Michelangelos David....absoultely amazing, you come around the corner and see it and its quite breath catching...bypassed all the buggers in line who didnt pay for a reservation...i think we are starting to spend more money because we are so sick of standing in rain and it was supposed to rain so we paid for a reservation time...however walked straight in which was great. climbed up a hill on the otherwise of the river to get a beautiful view of Florence. it really is quite beautiful and in the back you can see hills that is what the hollywood version of tuscanny looks like...we spent a while wandering around the market and trying to knock down prices....sometimes feel absoultely ridiculous cause we are making it up as we go along, but i have knocked several euros off here or there...although speaking of the market slash talking to italians, they are TERRIBLE...the customer service is compltely nonexistent and is actually the opposite as they are incredibly rude...attie doesnt even look at waiters anymore...its kinda funny...and you cant walk anywhere without having something shoved in your face that someone is trying to sell-typically for us its usually umbrellas.

so yes, florence is beautiful, had two days with only gloomy sky and no rain so very exciting although it is pouring today so other than church not quite sure yet what we are going to do. maybe just read a book. at least we are kind of gelatto-ed out. But definitely somewhere i would come back, and still lots of art to see although we are kinda art-ed out as well, and are still going to the louvre in paris as attie has never been there *and hey, its not like i saw everything...that place is kinda big....(
