ok, so the bad weather karma is gone (knock on wood). we have had two beautiful beach days on Santorini- we are staying on Perissa beach which is across the island from the capital. They have been relaxing and well-needed. And there is the sweetest, cheapest, 24 hour bakery right by where we are staying which is the best bakery we have seen yet. and there are a lot of bakeries in europe. this afternoon, after beach, we went to the capital, Fira, and walked around, saw the little white buildings in the cliff, and had dinner there. Tomorrow we are leaving for athens on an (yuck) 8 hour ferry, but apparently its the only day of the week when there are no high speed ferries. so we will enjoy the ferry. hope everyone had a good may 24!
