Hey Guys
Yesterday marked the Opening of Laguna Beach here by us in Baghdad. Well let me give you guys some history first. About a month ago Leslie made a suggestion to Mike, that we should transform our front yard at our work Villa into a Volleyball Court.
Well needless to say Mike did not let wait on him, He got trucks of sand delivered and Polo got the poles made, Leslie purchased a net and two volleyballs. Finally everything was ready, we invited a few people over. We got snacks and food together, and Recon BBQ. Everybody enjoyed themselves so much, hard to say that here in a war zone, it was a good moral booster and team building exercise. Well everybody wants to make this a weekly sporting event now here in Baghdad between everyone. The Best part was we even had Local Nationals enjoying themselves playing, so even if it was just a volleyball game, the universe usually lets something small start the ripple effect, I think we started it yesterday here on Laguna Beach...
Wanted to put some pics on for you guys but sorry cannot do that due to security reasons. One day when this war is over I will download some for you guys.
