Another boat trip yesterday (about 3 hours) across Lake Titicaca to Isla Tequile. There´s not much in the way of attractions on this island - the reason to visit is to stay with a local family and experience the tranquility of island life. We, along with an American girl, stayed at the home of the "captain" of the boat. Really simple, rustic accomodation (we think he and his wife moved out of their room for us), simple food, toilet halfway up the hill and bed at eight (no electricity here) wrapped in thick Peruvian blankets. The island is so peaceful (no cars either) that all the locals seemed to converse in whispers!
Today, before setting off back to Puno, we walked, virtually, all around the island.
