Arrving via a short hour flight from Melbourne into Hobart (the capital of Tasmania), I was at first taken aback by the weather. It's pretty gloomy and reminds me of the UK. The houses are also similar and the phoneboxes are identical. Having said that, the air quality is simply amazing! They say Tasmania has the cleanest air in the world, and they're clearing not lying. You can tell the difference between Melbourne's CBD and Hobart's City Centre, it's so fresh.
Will begin doing some touristy things tomorrow and by the start of the week will be searching for a job probably as my funds are running low (even after three months work)!
A quick note to let you know how O'Hanlon's comedy set went, it was brilliant! Well worth the money, he made me laugh for an hour straight and glad to see he likes to make fun of his own land and its people. He did also talk a bit about Father Dougal and how he was 1000/1 in some Irish bookies to become the next Pope...a US paper picked the story up and actually thought this Father Dougal was a real candidate.
Hope all is well. Update soon. TK
