Yesterdays protest didn´t amount to much although in Chimbote (where we overnighted) 2 people died in the same protest.

So we managed to book the tour for today to see the giant puya raimondii plants (which take 100 years to grow to full size (10m), flowers once then die) and to visit a glacier and mineral springs.

But, true to form, I ate something last night that didn´t quite agree with me and I had to spend the whole day in the bathroom!
