After a few days spent in Cairns and with the Paddys still in tow, we all decide to hire a car. It's instantly decided that neither of us girls will have the honour of driving and we all head up to Port Douglas in our people carrier!!
It's lovely and hot and we reach Port Douglas in what seems like no time at all. Getting out of the car to find some lunch, we are instantly hit with the smell of dog wee. Nevertheless, we eat in a park alone (this is nothing new as the Paddys have a weird tendancy to run a mile from us) and decide to stay in the Parrot Fish hostel which is nice but a bit smelly.
For the next couple of days we head out to Cape Tribulation and do some World Heritage National Parks walks. The sights here were amazing, walking ages in the rainforest is soon rewarded by the beautiful beaches. We also saw an amazing waterfall which is very different from the things we have seen in Australia so far.
We decide to head back to Cairns after a few days and stay in Koala's Hostel again. We secretly missed the Woolshed and get all dressed up again for a fun-filled even dancing and sipping snakebite.
