Another sop during this cruise was in Tunis. It was my first time on the African contient (some would precise "Maghreb" or "Afrique du Nord")and, when I think of it, I didn't see much. I guess that's how it is with the cruises and mass tourism. I remember a traditional "souk", a market like many others, of a type that every person going in North Africa or the Middle East has to visit at least once. I remember this kid who, when I didn't want to buy his stuff called me "fils de Chirac", or "Son of Chirac" (President of France)... Geez, I didn't really know how to take the insult so I walked away and kep my money. mean boy...
The rest was traditionnal: whites houses, palm trees, arid landscape and dark blue sea.
