A whole different world

2007-03-12, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

After enduring a long boat ride (thank heavens for MP3 players) and a unique, if thankfully uneventful, border crossing we arrived in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.

Cambodia is a fascinating and wonderful place to visit but it is a third world country and you cannot help but notice the poverty around you when you arrive and take your first look around. However, Cambodia is changing and in ten or so years time with a bit of luck will be where Vietnam is today. I think it is fair to say they deserve some luck after everything that has happened.
