On Thursday 22nd February we went to Lake Conjola again with Shamus and Maan, a couple who live in our block. Shamus is Ozzy but Irish descent and Maan is his Norwegian girlfriend. We went up to Lake Conjola and went straight to the beach where we met up with Maan’s Norwegian friends. After a swim we went back and set our tents up, very quickly as there was a storm coming in. We had a bar b q at the under cover picnic area which was ideal as the thunder storm came and it absolutely poured down. We did our usual and drank lots of beer and wine. Whilst cooking our food a possum decided to join us and even ate some sausage that Shamus gave to him. The only problem was that the possum wouldn’t leave and brought some of his mates along that kept nicking our food. We all ended up really drunk and went to bed at about 4 after being told to keep the noise down by some other campers!!!
The following day Shamus and the others left but we were staying another night. We went to the beach to snooze off our hangovers. As it was Friday the weekend campers hadn’t arrived yet so it was quiet on site. We were the only ones on the beach, it was lovely the beach is about 4 miles long with white sand and nobody on it, paradise.
