The Great Ocean Road

g'day all....last time i wrote i think we were just about to drive the great ocean road after a month in Melbourne. It was amazing, I have posted some pics and will be posting more. We started our journey in Torquay the birthplace of Australian surfing. Where we convienced a local surfer to take us surfing. Surfing is addictive, even if you are not very good you just want to try and catch one more wave. Next on to Lorne, all of these towns along the way were great beach towns right on the ocean. This is where the scenery was really beautiful and the road started to wind. It was great to have a car and drive it ourselfs. We named the car Tiida...well we didn't that was her name already. There are signs all along the great ocean road reminding tourists that in Australia we drive on the left. Now we I am used to driving on the other side, it might be hard to come home and drive. The sites along the Ocean are amazing (words can't describe...see photos). The last day of driving was inland towards Adelaide where we saw many kangaroos that were roadkill...they are like deer over here. Not the images of kangaroos we are used to seeing.

Adelaide is a nice city, comparable to Winnipeg it even had a fringe festival going on when we arrived. bigger than ours with many more shows. We saw some great comedy acts and a few plays. Also the WOMADelaide was on the weekend we were there...which is a great world music festival with acts from all over the world. Adelaide got tired pretty quickly for us and we were ready to move on. Off to Brisbane next.
