On Saturday we stayed in Palma and took a tour of Palma. We visited a couple different buildings. The two most important were the palace that is currently used by the King and Queen during the summer and during Semana Santa. And we also saw the absolutely gorgeous Cathedral. Words cannot describe this Church. We all walked in and simply stood amazed with its beauty and I have to say this means something because we see more than our fair share of cathedrals and monasteries with one of our professors, Javier. But this was absolutely gorgeous. I have never seen so many stain glass windows and it has the highest ceilings in Europe. It was beautiful, I tried to do justice with pictures, but we all realized that no picture could capture the beauty of this Cathedral. After that we went to the beach, El Arenal. It was very pretty and quite touristy. The water was once again gorgeous. Although I liked the sand better in Mexico. But don't get me wrong, Mallorca is a beautiful place to go, it’s absolutely gorgeous and I can not even begin to imagine how crazy it would be there during the high season with the beaches. We saw pictures of the beaches and there is no where to even move there are so many people on them. I was excited to get a little sun and get a head start on the summer though!! All in all a wonderful trip. Next trip Barcelona!
