the drive to salta rafting was really beautiful with more cacti and coloured rock making things look like the set of an old western. had to stop just before our destination for dunc and toby to do a wee little bungi jump and for georgie to chicken out (all on camera).

salta rafting is in a beautiful valley location right next to the river, the only problem is the little bastard sandflies which had us all itching for days afterwards. a few people did some grade 2-3 rafting, most of us did a canopy tour which had us flying (and screaming in some cases) from one side of the valley to the other (up to 400m long and 150m up) on zip lines which was good craic. fair bit of soccer and volleyball played and also found the best little swimming spot for the whole trip in a little wave/waterfall just next to the camp. had our hungi here on the second night which turned out to be respectfully good and very much enjoyed by all.

then journeyed on to salta city which has some beautiful old spanish buildings which had the camera pretty busy. our hostel was out in the burbs and had the biggest swimming pool in argentina - a colossal waste of money and space 200ish metres long and probably 75m wide and completely empty when we arrived.

was siesta time when we headed into town so we decided to head of to the flicks. there werent a lot of english options that didnt require us to wait all day so we ended up at a horror movie called the grudge 2 which had the girls screaming and the boys laughing because it was so bad.

headed back to the plaza for the obligatory internet, a few drinks, a great steak for our last night in argentina, few photos of the plaza lit up at night, few more drinks; before heading back to the campsite and discovering how good the acoustics in the pool are, to a few other peoples dislike. a really fun day

argie is definetly my favourite country so far. i will be back
