So after more rice we boat hopped 2 Naviti. This is 1 the biggest of the yasuawas islands group.
Oh dear god! I forgot 2 take my sea sickness pil!!! I was so ill 4 those of u who don't no i get very sic when eva i step on 2 a boat, ferry ect so i need my c sic pills nic sed i went a nice shade of green so i let nic deal wit all the admin we hav 2 sort out on the big boat each time while i was v ill in the loo!! I also had the runs, great combo hey! lol! I think that was the cat meat lol!
Well i was v ill and hoppin round wit luggage on an off little boats was not what i wanted 2 du! And don't 4get that we had our big ruc sack wit us! God nows how they did end up in the c coz the fijians just chuc them from boat 2 boat!! But rite at this poin i cudn't care less bout my bac was just tryin not 2 b sic in the over crouded speed boat! Got on the island in the blisterin heat and the islanders were singing 2 us and huggin/welcumin us and givin us coconut drinks and i just cudn't cope wit it so as soon as i got my bed alacated it was off 4 a kip!!! The dorm was so over crouded we had a gap of about 5cm between each bed witch was hard when tryin 2 get changed and all the dorms on the islands r mixt witch is weird!! And the washin facilities! Bit up close and personal 4 my likin lol!
I felt a little beta after my snooz so got up and did sum coconut huskin wich was fun then snoozed in the shade in a hammok what a hard life hey! I didn't eat dinner coz was feelin dodgi still had a bit of soup witch was a shame coz this was the best island so far 4 food! The guys played guitar 2 us and sang while we ate this was a much bigger camp bout 40 of us and we hooked up wit alana an stew and gil the israyli guy and pat and jon the older eng couple. The showers here were by far the worse! The just spat on u a bit and u had 2 stic ur hed on the grotti wall 2 wash out the soap!! Oh how i longed 4 the trust old hose! Lol! Sume thin gave me the impression that the plummers wernt corgi qualified in fiji!!! Lol!
We had limbo and the fijian answer 2 the macerana "the bula dance" after dinner. We taught a few of the guys the spoons game witch went down well.
I didn't stay up l8 coz still bad belly so i patched up the mossi net wit plasters and off 2 bed i went. The matresses are all foam here wich makes it 10 x hotter wict is bloody hot!!! But got sum sleep.
Sun: Yeah! No mossi bites wooh!! It becomes a constant battle 2 defeet the mossise i got a bit obsessed wit it lol! When 6 pm came it was like that film pitch black wit vin deasel where all the spooki things cum out when it goes dark or silent hill lol!! God thats a scary film!!
Drums 4 brecci at 8 actually slept till 8 coz there r shutters on the windows in this hut luxuary lol! I was still ill and it was rainin very heavy so we all stayed under the dinin hut and chatte d all day lolg!! Had a great lagh! By this point i cant take much more rice and we havent seen a single bit of fish ( me and nic were cravin fish). But hay rice again wooh! We went 2 the local church servise. Did i say that the fijians r christians? Mutch beta than canabells like they used 2 b!! LOL! There r also a lot of indians in fiji and they r muslim and u guesst it they don't get along! If ur on the main land and go into a shop the fijians will shout hey lady cum 2 my shop dont go 2 the indiams!!!! so PC!!!
The church servise was well, 2 put it in my grandmas words 'happy clappy' and the guy was shoutin a whole lot! And there was a women who got very xcited and started yelpin like a hieena!! Thin she was over cum wit emotion, I just had ear ach!!! lol! Was and xperience tho! the church by far was the best buildin on the island and they evan had a lap top for the church songs on power point!! Not a web connection in site tho dam it !!
I chilled in a hammok whrn we got bac i really started 2 miss every 1 coz in fiji u hav time 2 miss people and i was thinkin how much certain people wud like certain things and how i wanted 2 just chat wit people. Nic really liked being cut off on the islands i didn't i like emailin and phonein and txtin i felt really far away on the islands and i didnt like the fact if the was an emergency no1 cud get hold of me. I was feelin a bit ill and that prob didnt help. nic sed that she lisses people more when she heres from them but it really makes me happy it's weird how things effect people in different ways isn't it?
It started 2 rain again so we all went in the dinin hut and chatted and red our books. Nic actually got a book! I'm well proud of her!! I finisht my book was v gud but i always get an anti climax and a bit depressed when i finish a gud book coz it's like u want 2 no more bout the carachters but there gone. Weird. I did a book swap but the only english 1 was a girli chic lit book that i just cudnt bare so i stopped readin it!
Got fed up wit the stomach bug and the rain that day!! Really had a home sic day well people sic ne way. U cant snorkal in the rain either so that suckt.
Pat and jon are in there 40's and they both just pact there jobs in and went travelin round the world! How cool there lettin there 22 year old son house sit! They sed they mite not hav a home 2 go bac 2! Told them bowt when my folks went away and came bac 2 a lamp post in the hall!! Lol! Ive neva bin trusted since lol!
Thought the dinnin hut was gonna cave in but it held out and we had the best t of the trip so far fish currie!!! With real popadoms and colslaw!!!! Was amazin!! Havn't had ckoc 4 4 days now (personal best!) v proud! And also want 2 cry! lol!
Had a l8 1 think i was just avoidin the overcrouded dorms it's just hard work in there! Nic sed it looks like a mass toom wit all the mozzi nets ha! Her bites were grttin beta now thank god!
Mon:
Brecci was brill nice hot fresh buns and jam!!!!! Yes jam!!!Nearly fainted! Was roasrin hot again. We decided 2 go on the village trip 2 day. No sooner had we stepped on the boat than it started 2 por down these boats jinx us! Now i say boat but its just a creeky little shell were u just all squash on the floor the call it a speed boat coz theyv selotaped an outboard motor 2 the bac of it lol!
We got 2 th village soaked thro and the villagers laught at us! The cheife invites u 2 a cava ceramony (horrid stuff but u hav 2 drink it coz they find it offensive if u don't) They but flowers all dound our necs and sang loads of songs2us. After the ceramony the women lay out there trinkets 2 sell u. Now i dont meen 2 b disrespectful or ne thin but me and nic cant figure out how all the fijian ladies r so big boned coz they all are very chubbie and how if all they eat is rice and vedge hey?!! Me thinks there stashin the pringals and the ferero roshay i the bac and laughin at us all!!!
We then went 2 the school and all the children put on a show 4 us and sang loads of songs! They were very lowd 2 4 such little kids! U cud only tell the sex of the kids from the dress coz they all hav the same short hairstyles coz it's so hot!
We got the boat bac in time 4 lunch. PAsta and potato together???!! Oh whateva i was past carin it wasn't rice thats what mattered! LOL! I no i'm jokinly sayin it but i REALLY got sic of rice and i like rice!! Sum guy nearlly cried evry time he got his dinner!
I hammoked it 4 the rest of the afternoon then jumpt on the boat 2 go 2 Quata.
Quata has amazin veiws witch u'll c from our pics. Nice roomy dorm was such a change!! Met up wit sum guys we were on sunrise wit had a very smelly bed here it greatly upset me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank god (and grandma) 4 my hostal bag so the smelly sheets and me neva needed 2 make contact! (Cud stil smell them tho!) :o(
HAd chilli chicken 4 t but no way was i eatin the chickin it was all mashed up boans and all and scin hangin off it! I evan found a fether so i 8 the rice ( gud job 2 coz we met up wit col and bill the nxt nite on bounty she was really sic with the chicken they had on quata! Or crook as the aussys put it)
We did the bula dance and the staff were really friendly and we did a dance were we had 2 swap partners and i got stuck under a smely mans arm pit for far longer than was comfortable! Was all gud fun tho adn then l8r on we all sat out on the jetty and listend 2 the band 1 guy tryed 2 play wonderwall by oasis was quite a unique version lol! There was a huge! Fijian named jimmy who was playin this tiny ucalayli that made him look like a giant! lol pic r cumin!
Tuesday:
So boylin hot 2day!!!!! Brecki was bad fried toast and jam ne 1? Didn't think so! My sun burn is so bad it's so sore and has all scabbed and peelin but thin its on the mend. I played in the c wit Josh 1 of the fikian girls she was only 3 and they let her play in the c wit no 1 watchin her!! U'd get ya kid taken off u 4 that in eng! She tought me how 2 catch jelly fish ( they dont sting) Theres loads here when u swim u bang in them i got 1 full in the face , nice! I saw a baby octupus 2day!!! He was amasin and changed coler when u went neer him!
Nearly cried at dinner coz there were these babs and we all thought they were burgurs and when we opened them up guess what they were? U'll neva guess what it was! An obergeen sandwch!!!!!! Oh i'm not jokin i was close 2 teers! Nic sed she liked all the food! Think she was playin mind trics on me lol!Oh and the barms were really sweet like cake so it was oberseen cake, nice! Oh i wud hav dide 4 a jacket spud wit tuna mayo oh and a side order of rice! NOT!
We had birds livin in our roof hear v nosi birds that woke us up v early!! Frayer and emily came 2 bounty island 2 that day so that was cool!We did our boat hoppin 4 our last island bounty island. Now if ne of u watched the 1st celebrity love island this is the resort were it was filmed and it was really pretty this was a tiny island and it's only 20 mins from the main isand. We hav a pool!!! Omg So xcitin! We had a roof that was made of straw and we met up with all our friend includin hayly and josh from hawaii!! Yeay was like a school reunion but the best thing was THE FOOD!!!! Not a grain of rice in site! We had jacect spuds with sorwd fish and CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAKE!! Thank god we had cake!! Nic and i cudn't contain our xcitment adn i must of looked like id neva bin fed when i shouted NIC, CAKE!! WEV GOT CAKE M8! Coz u c bounty island is part of the macamucas aslands that r renound 4 being more upper class holiday resorts than the yasawas islands that r considered "real fiji experience" Now the foo may have bin gud and the did have cake but i have 2 say that the other islands had a lot more charm as bounty island was very 18-30 drinkathon and it was a bit of a shoc after bein so bac 2 basics so we hung out b the pool and had a few drinks wi our okd chums (old! when ur travellin if u now sum 1 a week u go way bac it's v weird! ) I cudn't keep my eys open tho doin nothin is well tirin! lol!
Wednesday:
Got up early and we had cerail!! Very xcitin and was sausage and eg and toast and been and sausage but i was gud! Think it may hav overloaded the system if i went bac on 2 reall food with 2 mutch of a jump lol!
We went sea kiaking went round the islands adn we saw the love shack from the tv program the celeb love island witch they hav just left 2 ruin witch was a shame. We sed they could hav made it in2 a honey moon bure ( hut) Oh well we just thought it was nice 2 have a roof that wasnt made of straw and cardbord! $got 2 say that in yaqueta we wernt alloud on the top bucks coz if it rain the roof leeked!!!
All our clothes smelled horrid by now coz the islands were so humid nothin ever really dried and we still had 2 pac them away each day. We chilled by the pool 4 a bit, the snornalling here was amazin we went really deep and the cral was so cool and we saw the entire cast of findin nemo and more the fish were so colourfull adn there was a rainbo 1 wich was cool! i kept worrying that a tiga shark wud cum say hello but apparently they swim much deeper, lets hope so! I evan saw a sting ray freeked me out a bit but was glad i saw it! Every1 was askin were i saw it and tryin 2 find him. It was so hot he! As soon as u got out of the pool or showered u were porin wit sweat! I held a baby tutal at the turtal farm and we fed them jelly fish that washed up on the beach! He was just like squirt in nemo he was so cute only bout 4 cm long!
They hav a tractor here 4 the luggage! 1st motorised thin on weels weve seen since cumin 2 the islands! hE SCOOPED ALL THE BAGS UP IN 2 THE BUCKET!! And they were hangin out over the sae!!
Ne way we hedded on bac 2 tha boat 2 the main land was strange headin bac 2 reality or kind of reality was so xcited bout phonin and checckin my emails!!!
Ne way i've bin on the computer 4 ages and there bout 2 close so ill hav 2 tell u whats bin goin on since we got bac 2 the main land sum other time...
