We continued our journey up north to an area called Salta. It's a beautiful region that reminds me a lot of Sedona. We took a tour of the southern region and it was full of stunning mountains and great scenery. We stopped a few places along the way to hike back into caves in the mountains and check out the wandering animals. (with whom I was trying to take pics with but à the goat charged and licked me square on my lips then ate my hair and the llama definitely turned toward me, showed its teeth, and made some type of grunting noise, which is when I RAN). On the way back we decided to hop off the tour bus one town before our stop; where we heard there was a "mini Carnival" parade happening that night. The bus continued on while we wandered around this small town with not ONE tourist besides us. It was such a neat experience. When the entire town is buying at least 3 cans of "silly string" each- you know you are in for a good time.
