Out of all of the islands in the Eastern Caribbean, Martinique is by far the best. Whether it is the French atmosphere or the beautiful Caribbean water, it is great. I traveled to Martinique via sailboat almost four years ago on my parents boat. We would visit the island often throughout our four year trip in the Caribbean. I particularly enjoyed the southwestern coast of Martinique. St. Anne is a great place to spend some time and relax. There are a lot of interesting hiking trails and beaches to visit. A Club Med is also located in St. Anne. Overall, I give Martinique an A+.
