Our final stop in Extremadura was Trujillo. While we didn't spend a lot of time here we saw some beautiful things. We arrives and headed for the plaza and from there took a stroll past some of the cities most beautiful buildings. We finally landed upon an amazing view close to the castle and the castle itself. Yes, it was a real castle. The views were absolutely spectacular, really pretty. There isn't too much to say about this one, the pictures really speak for themselves. Although I do have to say I ate at my first real Spanish restaurant and that was an experience. We were first served salad and bread, both of which were amazing. They we got a choice from several things. I chose the macaroni, however I have to say that some people chose this soup that was so gross. They brought it out and it was basically broth with a bunch of shrimp, which in the states would be amazing but here the shrimp still had their heads and their eyes on them and it was just gross. I'm sorry but I can't get over that. Then we ordered our main course, I got the chicken, which I must say was very good and then we got desert, I got ice cream which was also good. After lunch with still had a little free time and since it was so nice and sunny out we ended up hanging out in the plaza just enjoying the sun and I must say that was quite amazing. All in all it was a good weekend. We didn't get back until almost 9 on Sunday night but we saw some beautiful places and had a lot of fun. I will post again soon! Hope everyone is doing well!!
