Here is a little about what I did this week...

Street Kids...
I worked a lot with this Shelter for street children, ages any where between 4-18 they brush there teeth, get a bath, get clean clothes, in exchange for there old ones, and also get a full meal. It was great. They also have a time of reading the Bible, and English classes, since none of them go to school. We they would go out to where they lived after, on the street. They stay on the sidewalk in one area. The leader of this ministry has worked with the same children for the last 5 years, and has a great re pore with the parents as well. So we go there just hanging out with the kids on the street. I think I have lice from holding the children and playing, but I got meds. :) I made a great friend who is staffing on this ministry named Vinni, she is 20 and moved from Deli, to Calcutta 5 months ago. It's her birthday on Thursday, and didn't have money for a birthday dress (which is a really big deal), and I was able to take her out and bless her for her 21 Birthday!!! in Fact I bought her a Saree (5 meters of fabric) She has never had one before! It was such a blessing to bless her! She was so thankful! I wished her a Happy Birthday and took her to coffee! it was amazing!

Mother Theresa...
I worked with the handy-caped children this week at the Mother Theresa House. They were 30 girls in all, age from baby to 17. They are down syndrome, blind, severe handy-caped. We get them up, feed them, change them, do laundry for them, and the sisters help us all the time! it was an amazing experience. I played with a few of the blind children, using touch, and light! it was so cool! then I was doing laundry for them, it was great! I meet a few people from France who were also volunteering, I was able to share with them what were doing there, and about Jesus. AMAZING!

Train Kids...
Another ministry that I did was able to go to the train station, and hang out with the kids who live there. It was a huge reality check for me, theses kids were sniffing glue, they live together, so there is a lot of abuse. It was one of the most hopeless situations I have ever been in. We came to find out that they make a lot of $$ selling bottles, off the trains that come in. They recycle them, but then turn the money around and buy glue, or paint. I met one girl who was anywhere between 16-18, who was "with child" about 5 months ago, but lost the baby, reason... unknown. Her wrist were cut up, and she was not doing well. She was on a trip from the paint. I prayed for her. I left feeling really heavy in the spirit.

Friday Morning...
4am... I woke up in a cold sweat... started breaking out in hives....I took meds and soon my throat started closing, soon I was not able breath...Soon my whole room was up, I was having an allergic reaction to something. After stuggling to breath, and iching everywhere! including my face! it was really funny! We should have taken pics... the meds kicked in.. and I went to sleep.. woke up around 10 am... with no trace of anything! it was kind of scary.. but the grace of God was with me the whole time!

This is my last week in India, if you can please be praying for my teams travels... and such! We leave on Saturday for Thailand, and I can't wait for it! Outreach is almost over I can't believe it!

until next time...

Next entry: Headed to Thailand!
