So many sites so many memories already!
We had an amazing first day in Paris. Landed at 07:55 and saw the sunrise over the left wing as we descended into the airport.
First we visited l'Arc de Triomphe, followed by a walk though a typical Parisian neighborhood (Arrondissement 7 - rive gauche), lunch on rue Cler including baguette sandwich and crepe and hot dirnks in a cafe. Next a walk though the Jardin Champ de Mars and visiting la tour Eiffel. Some students made it to the top - by elevator. Ensuite (then) off to the bateux mouches for a 1 1/2 cruise on La Seine to see the bridges, buildings and Notre Dame. A quick excursion on to the Metro direction Gare St-Lazare. Off to Evreux to meet all our French host families. What a amazing day! Arrived in Evreux at 7:30 pm - all in all the students have been awake for over 36 hours (most without sleeping, except Mr. Banton who travels a lot on planes!)
