Well, I'm in Puerto Cabezas now, which is on the Atlantic coast, and the first time I've been around technology for some time now. The stories that follow may be a bit out of time from eachother as I have many to tell, but that have all already happened!

After Boaco we went to Mulukuku to check out the solar project that is completed for the Women's Clinic there. This is a step up from the Children's Fund commercials you see. They had composting toilets (that were terrible) and filtered water from a pump at the clinic. I got sick while I was there (with what you would expect) and I was ready to leave by the time we did. That said, it is absolutely wonderful what Dorothy Granada and Gretel and every person who works and volunteers does out there. The clinic is the pinnicle of what can be done if your heart is in the right place and the money manages to follow. The solar installation is pretty big (8 KW I believe), and really neat (for lack of a better word). I really enjoyed seeing what Joseph, Suni Solar, Phillipe, et al have already accomplished, and look foward to working with them in the future.

Dorothy is wonderful. The namesake of my grandmother (passed) and just as beautiful and karismatic. We got along very well and I helped with a project for here drawing female anatomy. Those of you who know me I'm sure are laughing because I can't draw better than a billygoat.. but I instead "drafted" it; and it came out fine to my surprise. We spent time up at Noel and Gretel's finca (ranch) which was absolutely beautiful!! Complete with many horses, these goat/sheep thingy's, a water fall, and fabulous swimming. Noel is on the Regional Council of Prinzepolka (if I'm not mistaken.. it may be for Matagalpa, no se) and Gretel is the woman whom put together the women's clinic. They have 2 beautiful twin grand daughters that turned 9 last weekend, and I did a fire dance for them with the fans that I brought in their honor. They are the prettiest, sweetiest, most precious children I have met in Nicaragua.

We left Mulukuku and came to PC yesterday where I celebrated with a lobster dinner that was (to say the least) not very good. Although I had the best Pina Colada on the entire planet ever made!!
