This update is coming up Iraklio on the Island of Crete. A very brief synopsis: I left for Greece Thursday night and spent the night on the train pulling into Belgrade, the capital of Yugoslavia around 7 the next morning. We spent the day walking around the city and caught a train at 5 leaving for Greece. We arrived in Thesikalonia (sp?) the next morning and walked around that city for about 2 hours before catching the train to Athens. We arrived in Athens around 5 and the next morning spent all day walking around visiting the Acropolis and other historic sites. We then caught a night ferry to Crete and tomorrow morning we plan on taking a bus to Hiana, another part of the island. We’ll stay there for a couple days then catch another night ferry back to Athens were we will spend one day before leaving for Delphi and then returning back to Budapest via the train. We should get back to Budapest sometime around Monday morning.
I’ll write more about the trip and share some of the pictures I’ve taken at a later date but I just want to say everything is going well, I’m doing fine, and if you ever get the chance to go to Greece don’t even hesitate.
