Well, first thing in the morning we went to the Canopy tours in Mal Pais. It was just us, and another couple from New York, and our two guides. A dirt road lead us up to the top of a hill where we climbed atop our first platform. The view was incredible! Our guides were great, and liked to make jokes about making sure we signed the liability waiver, and they hoped the lines were still together. At first you are above all the trees, and by the 3rd platform you start to go through the trees. Going through the trees you can't see the platform you need to land on, you just go and hope it's there when you get there. All I kept thinking was of the song "George of the Jungle", Watch out for that tree part! After we safely made it back, we decide to go to the Cabo Blanco Reserve. It's basically the whole tip of the peninsula. We wern't prepared for a long hike in, so we just hiked for a little bit, taking pictures of the creepy spiders and the trees, looking for monkeys. Mat climbed down through a semi-dry riverbed to a deserted beach and took some pictures. I was just to chicken to do it, especially after seeing all the spiders. Not to mention, the Fleur de Lance, one of the deadliest snakes in the world lives there, and it's not uncommon to see them. After our little venture we headed back home with a quick little stop at a restaurant ontop of a hill that had the most spectacular view ever! Took a few pictures, and made plans to eat there for the night at sunset.
