Glacier gliding

Our one year of travelling anniversary and we headed throught yet more stunning scenery towards Mount Cook. To celebrate we took a ski plane from Mount Cook village and landed on top of the glacier where we had a pad around in the snow and got to see the incredible ice formations up close. The tiny plane was a little bumpy but it was a great experience. In the afternnoon we had a good walk up to Kea Point with all the hotels booked upi we sleept again in the faithful old van. From Mount Cook we headed back up to Christchurch and had a brilliant nights sleep in green space a vegan, vegetarian hotel that tries to be very environmentally sound - we liked it immensely.
