On Friday night the exchange committee believed it would be a good idea to teach us a whole bunch of drinking games so we could be socially accepted by Norwegians. They tooks us down to the campus bar. Their campus bar is rather large, each club that they have at the school has their own room. That night 7 of these rooms were open and we got to go around and learn about each club and some of the rooms would teach us a drinking game as well.
The first choir club had an insane drinking game involving kiwis. First you cut a kiwi in half and then everyone takes a spoon. While eating the juicy insides of the kiwi you sing some song. Once you have eaten the insides of the kiwi they poor a shot of vodka into the kiwi and everyone takes the shot. Then they say because we are in norway we need to take another. Then they tell us to eat the kiwi skin beacuse it has soaked up some of the alocohol and Norwegians don't waste alcohol...hardcore.
The only other game they taught us worth speaking about is called the wheelbarrow race. The wheelbarrow room is where the student government holds parties. Anyways the concept of the game is to break up into teams of 6. One person gets into the wheelbarrow position and is 'wheelbarrowed' to one end of the room, there they must funnel a beer (in wheelbarrow position) and then they are wheelbarrowed back, first team to finish wins. Superman (in the pictures) did this 7 times.
By about 11:00 pm we all decided to leave the bar and go back to Hatelberg (our residences) for a small afterparty. Two guys brought their guitars from home, so Dart and I finally got to play a litte guitar, we played until the wee hours of the morning. I also met some crazy guy who I am quite scared of but you'll have to ask me about that.
Anyways, that was our Friday in a nutshell, we had to get our rest for the big Homecoming party on Saturday.
