Lalitpur Kids Games

The 2nd week of January has seen the Lalitpur Kids Games take place in Kathmandu. Some of EBT’s older children here in Godawari have been competing each day in various sporting events against children from other homes. It’s been a fun experience for them with a few medals won along the way and more than a few hairy bus rides up and down the hills. With over 1000 children competing from our third of the city area, the scale of the problems becomes pretty clear.

Most surprising moment so far – bus rides home with 40 or so Nepali children all singing along with every word to the immortal John Denver’s Country Roads! Someone has got here before me…
