Work and work
The time has gone by so fast here at Surfers that it's actually very, very amazing that we've been here for a month now.
The waitressing I'm doing at Santino's is going alright. Four to six hours a night, busy and no tips. Yes, all the tips go to a tip jar and no, at the end of the week we do not share them but all the tips go in the till! That is so unfair! Sara and Ben get like $40/week in shared tips.
So yes, our manager is a p**ck.
One thing I've noticed at work is how rude and arrogant Aussies really are. They can be very friendly as well and are more than ready to help you and so forth but my goodness all the attitude they have. It seems like they think they can do whatever they want and...well, basically they act like they're something better.
Young Aussies are really easy to track from the mass as well. Surfers really doesn't do much justice to them. Generally all the Aussie guys have a mullet or a tiny mohawk, they definately have been to the gym more than once and Aussie girls all have messy hair dos, expencive looking dresses and killer heels. And by midnight you can find them in the gutter. I have to say that Aussie girls are probably one of the most trashiest people I've ever met...along with Americans :D
We all can't wait to get out of Surfers. This place is realy, really commercial and doesn't offer anything for long term stayers. It's my day off and writing an update online is the high point of my day.
All my friends are working tonight...
I bought two pairs of Nine West shoes the other day! They're normally expencive good shoes but now they were just good. I have to take a picture of all the shoes I got now, since there are way more than 10 pairs. No, I do not know how on earth will I be able to carry them around but hey, I'm not travelling at the moment :D
So, I won't be coming home at the end of January and that means I lose 600e cause I'm skipping my non refundable flight. Yes.
So umm...I might be running out of money so when I know my return date I'll let you guys know if I need assistance in getting a ticket. Haha.
We'll be heading to Byron Bay in about 3 weeks and after paying $36/night in there a few times we'll finally go to Sydney. There I hope will be work, an apartment and a hobby. I found a place that does trapeze lessons!
I also met a Finnish girl Camilla here on New Years eve who works in Sydney so I won't be alone in that big city.
So much for that update!
Jossu, buy some thai green curry paste, can of coconut milk, jasmine rice and veggies. Cook the veggies on a pan, add coconut and paste, eat it with jasmine rice. If that dish isn't hot enough for you then I don't know what is. But it's easy and GOOD.
