To say goodbye to the old year, nothing better that a short escape to a paradise near you ;-)
17 km ahead. Organized hike at montejunto mountain, nice group and a beautifull day ;-)
We started from the North side and walked to the top heading south, once there we descend southwest to cath the sunset and north again around the mountain to the start point.
This little montain is 666 meters high - and no, there is no devil at the top - although there is an old monastery ruin from the dominican order dated from 1218 (also a chapel to Our Lady of the Snow).
Due to it's geography (a single mountian circle by plains) and it's location near to Lisbon, all kinds of antenas and radars are deployed at the top.
We also had time to a visit to the Royal Ice Factory (used to produce ice during the XVIII and XIX centuries).
